The special area teachers at School #1, Ms. Daddato, Mrs. Gusrang, Mrs. Metzger and our nurse, Mrs. Palmer launched a new program at School #1 that focuses on building character and being a good citizen in our school. The hallway near the nurse's office is called Citizen Way and is lined with artwork created by our School #1 students and inspired by our district Student of the Month program.
Each month the special area teachers, and Mrs. Palmer keep their eye out for students whose conduct represents the Student of the Month attributes. Students names are put in a drawing and a Star Student is selected for each grade. The Star Students for the month of March are Jimmy Cruz, Whitney Pew and Britany Raines. Jimmy, Whitney and Britany were recognized for their positivity and enthusiasm.
